Pickleball Rules

  • PLEASE follow all pickleball etiquette and rules posed on the entrance gates to the courts.
  • Please use only approved paddles from the Heritage Palms paddle list.
  • Please have your paddle(s) approved by Heritage Palms staff at the Pro shop during regular shop hours. A member of the staff will also be at the courts several mornings to help with approvals.
  • Heritage Palms supply’s balls for play. They should be in the ball sleeves. Please use these balls in an effort to ensure quieter play.  If you need balls, please contact the Tennis Pro Shop.
  • Courts are open every day 8am to 5pm (membership is required for access)
  • Open Play is from 8am to 12pm (January 1st - March 31st Member Only Play)
  • Beginner and Novice Players are encouraged to play from 11am to 12-pm. Staff help will be available Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
  • Lessons are available through the Tennis Pro Shop. Currently a Beginner Clinic is available 12 – 1pm on Tuesdays.
  • Both courts can be reserved by members from 12pm to 5pm. Reservations can be made 3-6 days in advance beginning at 7am using the Chelsea Reservation System.
  • Daily adult guest fee is $10.00pp or $30.00 pp per week.  Children under 18 will not be charged.  Members are responsible for their guests and must register through the Tennis Pro Shop.

Use of the Pickleball Facilities
  • Restrooms are available for use at the pool area next to the courts.
  • Parking is available in designed spots at the courts and on the Queen Palm Lane parking lot.  Parking is not allowed on the grass or on the streets.
  • The pickleball courts are for the use of Club members, transfer members and their guests. Players and spectators must conduct themselves according to the Rules and Regulations of the Club at all times.  Normal etiquette and good sportsmanship are expected of all players and spectators. Children under the age of 13 are only allowed on the pickleball courts with parental supervision. Profanity of any type will not be tolerated.
  • Smoking is not permitted on the courts Bikes must be parked in the bike racks. No riding of bikes, scooters, skateboards, roller blades etc, is permitted on the courts or pickleball area.
  • Pets are not permitted on the Pickleball Facilities.

 
Dress Code
Proper attire for men and women is required. Casual, comfortable clothing is acceptable including tee shirts (but not undershirts), gym shorts and/or appropriate warm-up suits. Shirts and court/tennis shoes are mandatory.
